  • Combined project management with hands-on technical contribution — personally involved in requirements definition, task estimation, and system architecture across engagements, bridging business and engineering stakeholders.
  • Managed coordination between Poland and Australia across time zones, completed a 6-month on-site delegation for in-person collaboration with Australian tax authorities, and represented Cognitum at investor meetings across Europe.
June 2020 — May 2025 Poland (Remote)

Camino Science Sp. z o. o.

Technical Project Manager and Architect

Part-time Technical Project Manager and Architect at a Polish biotechnology startup developing an AI-powered simulation platform for phage therapy — predicting phage-host interactions in silico to reduce costly in-vitro wet-lab trials.

  • Delivered the In-silico Camino platform — an AI simulation environment for phage-host interaction prediction — meeting all planned technical milestones across PARP and EIC Accelerator grant programs.
  • Secured €2,417,995 (~$2.6M USD) from the EIC Accelerator Open 2021 — passing both Step 1 and Step 2 — and 1,185,200 PLN (~$308k USD) from two PARP national grants (1.1.1 and 1.1.2 POPW).
  • Designed complete technology stack — tools database, simulation backend, AI models — and drove the decision to build on-premise physical server infrastructure with VPN access and autoscaling, ensuring full security of proprietary codebases and models.

Owned Outcomes S.C.

Project Manager

Full-time Project Manager at a US healthcare big-data company, managing cross-cultural development teams across the USA, Poland, and India. Oversaw the flagship BigSense analytical platform — a custom object-graph database engine built for US healthcare analytics — and delivered 7 client projects for healthcare insurers and hospitals including Vizient and Ediom.

  • Managed up to 22 engineers in Poland (16 developers, 6 testers) plus teams in India (8 and growing) and US-based proxies — scaling from product PM for the BigSense platform to company-wide engineering management across three countries.
  • Transitioned the entire Polish team of 20 to fully remote work in May 2020 with zero missed releases and zero downtime, establishing a 15-minute communication SLA to maintain team responsiveness across distributed locations.
  • Delivered 7 BigSense-based client projects including P2v2, IMM, and E2, plus the P2v3 major platform release, for US healthcare clients including Vizient and Ediom.
  • Introduced company-wide KPIs — post-release defect volume, test coverage, and ROI per feature — replacing ad-hoc tracking with data-driven project and performance management.

Projects

BigSense Analytical Platform

Custom object-graph database engine written from scratch for US healthcare analytics, with C++ and Python APIs — purpose-built to outperform general-purpose database solutions on healthcare-specific workloads including insurance claims and hospital performance analytics.

  • Oversaw the flagship platform on which the entire company's business depended, serving US healthcare insurers and hospitals including Vizient and Ediom.
  • Managed concurrent development of the core C++ and Python APIs alongside 7 client-specific projects built on the BigSense engine.
June 2016 — May 2019 Wrocław, Poland

SatRev S.A.

Chief Technology Officer

Chief Technology Officer at a Polish New Space startup — Poland's first commercial satellite company. Joined at company founding, designed the satellite system architecture, and built the engineering organization from scratch: team of 18 across multiple disciplines, five concurrent mission programs, and a 5.3M PLN budget.

  • Joined at company founding as one of the first employees, designed the satellite system architecture, and recruited and led an 18-person engineering team spanning mechanics, electronics, software, and integration — delivering Poland's first commercial satellite.
  • Led Światowid — a 2U Earth observation cubesat — from concept through design, prototyping, and full qualification testing (EMC, vacuum, vibration), on a 5.3M PLN budget. Launched successfully in April 2019 aboard Cygnus NG-11 and deployed from the ISS.
  • Personally designed the electronics and software for the Attitude and Orbit Control System, completing delivery in 5 months and achieving flight qualification across all test regimes. The system flew on both Światowid and AmicalSat.
  • Planned and resourced four concurrent satellite projects including AmicalSat with CSUG Grenoble (France), Kraksat with AGH Kraków — both launched alongside Światowid — and the ION electric propulsion engine (0.3N thrust, 26W power draw, early prototype stage).

Projects

Światowid — Poland's First Commercial Satellite

2U CubeSat Earth observation satellite designed to monitor water quality, smog, and forest fires. 3D-printed aluminum alloy chassis, entirely built in Wrocław. Launched April 2019 aboard Cygnus NG-11 and deployed from the International Space Station.

  • Delivered Poland's first commercial satellite from concept through qualification — passed EMC, vacuum, and vibration testing — on a 5.3M PLN budget.
  • Designed system architecture and led the engineering team through prototyping, integration, and launch campaign preparation.
  • Successfully launched April 2019 and operated for 20 months in orbit before atmospheric re-entry in March 2021.

Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS)

Custom-designed attitude determination and control subsystem for nanosatellite platforms, including sensor integration, actuation, and flight software.

  • Individually designed the complete AOCS electronics and software, delivering a flight-ready system in 5 months.
  • Achieved full flight qualification across EMC, vacuum, and vibration test regimes. Flew successfully on both Światowid and AmicalSat missions.

T-Bull S.A.

Robotics Designer

Robotics Designer at a mobile gaming company exploring emerging human-smartphone interfaces. Built a working brain-computer interface prototype and later developed the satellite concept that directly led to the founding of SatRev S.A.

  • Designed and built a working BCI prototype using a 16-channel non-invasive EEG headset, achieving 87% accuracy for 2-command recognition in mobile games — enabling hands-free gameplay via brain signals.
  • Initiated and developed the early satellite system concept at T-Bull, which directly led to the founding of SatRev S.A. — Poland's first commercial satellite company — where I later served as CTO.
  • Designed and programmed (C/C++) a modular combat robot for Robot Wars with custom electronics and CAD-modelled casing. Built automated wood-working equipment replacing manual processes for a commercial woodshop.
